I need to say that I was so impressed and relieved by what your service provided the participants and their family on reasonably short notice. It was a big job, two people both in wheelchairs, one with other issues and having to convey them on a long distance run to the hospital and back. Not only did the staff transport them but there was a carer available to assist as well! This was amazing coordination by management and forethought, that made a nearly impossible situation possible.
Not only was the service made available, it created the opportunity that the family was needing for some years, that is transport to and from Westmead Children’s hospital from the Wollondilly region so that the children could at last access the multiple services and medical intervention they had been needing for some time. In the past this has been an impossible feat because of the sheer logistics and complexity however, staff from Southern Highlands Community Transport made the impossible possible, and therefore allowing much needed medical intervention for the children.
I need to congratulate the staff on a brilliant job, well done and thank you so much.
